Reactive Power (Q)

Reactive Power:-

Reactive power (Q) is the force that bounces continuously back and forth between the source and the load

Reactive power means that the energy is first released as a magnetic field or electrostatic field in terms of starting and capacitor.

The reactive power given by Q = V I is positive for sinus inductive loads (+ ve) and negative (-ve) for capacitive loads.

The unit of reactive power is the volt-ampere reactive VAR where 1 VAR = 1V x 1A.

In simpler terms, the magnetic or electric field generated by 1A x 1 V is called the unit of reactive energy.

it is also known as Use-less Power, Watt less Power

Formulas:

 Q = V I Sinθ                                                                                *θ = Phase angle

Reactive Power = √ (Apparent Power2– True power2)

VAR = √ (VA2 – P2)

 kVAR = √ (kVA2 – kW2)

SI Unit=VAR (Volt-Ampere reactive)

                 Q = V I Sinθ
     Reactive Power =√ (Apparent       Power2– True power2
       ( VAR = √ (VA2 – P2
    (  kVAR = √ (kVA2 – kW2)
